Getting started

How quickly can you actually deliver a website?

Starter and Business builds are delivered within 24 to 48 hours of us receiving your approved brief, your payment and your content. The clock starts there, not at your first email. Professional builds take 3 to 5 business days and eCommerce stores 7 to 10 business days, and we put the specific date in your written quote.

Do I need to have a domain and hosting already?

No. If you have them, we work with what you have. If you do not, we will recommend a provider and walk you through registering both in your own name, so the accounts belong to you and not to us. Expect to pay roughly $15 USD a year for a domain and $80 to $200 USD a year for hosting, paid directly to the provider.

What do you need from me before you can start?

Your logo if you have one, the text for each page or the key facts so we can write it, any photos you want used, your contact details and business hours, and access to your domain or hosting if they already exist. Our requirements email lists everything so nothing is missed.

Can you write the content for me?

The Professional plan includes written copy for all ten pages, and the eCommerce plan includes product descriptions. On Starter and Business plans we format the content you supply; if you would like us to write it instead, we quote that separately before starting.

Payment and billing

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Nothing is purchased directly on this website: once you approve a written quote, we email you a secure Stripe payment link and you enter your card on Stripe’s own page. We never see, handle or store your card number.

What currency am I charged in?

It depends where you are. Clients in the United States are billed in US Dollars. Clients in Canada are billed in Canadian Dollars, or in USD if that is agreed beforehand. Prices on our site are shown in USD, and your actual currency and amount are confirmed in your written quote and again on the Stripe payment page before you enter a card. If your card is issued in a different currency from the one billed, your bank converts it at their rate and may add a foreign transaction fee, which is outside our control.

Do I pay everything upfront?

Projects over $150 USD are split: 50% to begin work and 50% before the site goes live. The $119 Starter plan is charged in full upfront because of its size. Monthly plans are charged on the same date each month until cancelled.

Is tax added?

For Canadian clients, yes — Ontario clients are charged 13% HST and other provinces their applicable GST/HST rate, calculated on the invoice total. Clients outside Canada are billed without Canadian sales tax. Tax is shown separately on your invoice.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes, by email immediately after each payment, showing the service purchased, the amount, the tax applied and our business details.

Are your prices fixed, or negotiable?

The figures on our pricing page are ranges, not a fixed rate card. What you actually pay depends on the size and complexity of your project, and larger or unusual work is quoted individually — sometimes above the published range, occasionally below it for something very simple. What is fixed is the quote: once we send you a written price and you approve it, that is the amount you are charged, and nothing else is added unless you ask for work outside the agreed scope and approve a separate quote for it.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within the terms set out in our refund and cancellation policy. In short: full refund if you cancel before work begins, partial refund if you cancel mid-build based on work completed, and no refund once a completed site has been delivered and accepted. Please read the full policy before purchasing.

During the build

How many changes can I ask for?

One round on Starter, two on Business, three on Professional and four on eCommerce. A round means one consolidated list of changes, which we apply within one business day. Additional rounds are available and quoted before we begin them.

What counts as a change of scope?

Adding pages beyond the agreed count, adding a function that was not in the quote (a booking system, a members area, a store), or a complete redesign after approving a direction. We will always tell you when something crosses that line and what it costs before doing it.

Who do I deal with?

The same person throughout. The individual who scopes your project builds it and answers your emails. You will not be passed between account managers.

After launch

Do I own the website?

Yes, completely, once the project is paid in full. The domain, the hosting and the WordPress administrator account are all in your name, and you receive every credential in the handover email. You can move to another provider or developer at any time without asking us.

Can I edit the site myself?

That is why we build on WordPress with Elementor. Your handover includes a screen recording showing how to change text, swap images, add pages and publish blog posts, so day-to-day updates do not need us.

What if something breaks after launch?

Anything broken or misconfigured that we built is fixed at no charge during your support window — 14 days on Starter and Business, 30 days on Professional and eCommerce. After that, fixes are billable, or covered by a monthly care plan.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?

Yes, three optional care plans from $39 USD a month covering updates, backups, monitoring and content edits. They are month-to-month with 14 days’ notice to cancel — see care plans.

Marketing services

Do you guarantee first place on Google?

No, and we would be suspicious of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google’s rankings. What we commit to is the work itself, done every month and reported honestly, plus the ranking and traffic data so you can judge whether it is paying off.

Is my ad budget included in the monthly fee?

No. Our fee is for management only. You pay Google directly with your own card on your own account, so you always see exactly what was spent. We do not bill ad spend or take a percentage of it.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

You do. It is created in your name with you as owner and us as a manager. If you stop working with us, we remove our access and the account, its history and its data stay with you.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Monthly plans run month to month and you can cancel with 14 days’ written notice before your next billing date. We ask for three months on SEO not as a contract but because less than that genuinely will not show you anything useful.
