One-time project · Brand
A logo is not a brand. A brand is the logo plus the colours, the typefaces, and the rules for using them, so that your van, your invoice and your website all obviously belong to the same business. We design the whole set and hand over every file you will ever be asked for.
The most common logo problem is not that it looks bad. It is that it only exists as a JPEG someone made years ago, so it is blurry on the sign, wrong on the dark background, and unusable when the printer asks for a vector file. Fixing that is half of what this project is for.
We start with what the business does and who it sells to, then design a mark that works at every size — on a favicon, on a truck door, embroidered on a shirt. Around it we build a small, usable system: a palette with the exact colour codes, one or two typefaces, and clear rules for spacing, minimum size and what not to do.
You receive the lot in every format: vector files for print, PNGs for the web, a one-colour version, a reversed version for dark backgrounds, and a short brand sheet so whoever makes your next flyer gets it right.
Mark, palette, type and usage rules — the four things that make a business look like one business
Scope
Everything below is part of the project. Nothing is added to your invoice without a written quote you have approved first.
Not included: Trademark searches or registration, which is a lawyer’s job — we will tell you if a direction looks too close to something we know of. Printed stationery. Applying the brand to your website, which is part of a redesign or new build.
How it works
A questionnaire and a short call. We want to know what the business is actually like, not what it aspires to be in a mood board.
Two or three genuinely different concepts, each shown in real contexts: a sign, a business card, a phone screen. You pick one.
The chosen direction tightened: proportions, letterforms, colour, how it holds up tiny and huge. Two revision rounds.
Palette, type and layout rules built around the final mark.
Every format and version, organised in folders with a brand sheet on top. You will not be emailing us for a file in two years.
What we need from you
Typical timeline: 5–10 business days from approved brief. Your written quote states the actual date for your project.
Pricing
Base scope: Logo refresh: one direction developed from your existing mark, two revision rounds, full file set (SVG, EPS, PDF, PNG), one-colour and reversed versions, favicon and social sizes.
Anything beyond the base scope is priced from the add-on list, and your written quote shows the line items and one total. That total is what is charged — nothing more. No payment is taken on this website: once you approve the quote, a secure Stripe payment link is sent by email. US clients are billed in USD; Canadian clients in CAD or USD by agreement, plus applicable GST/HST.
Questions
Yes. Full rights transfer to you on final payment, and the files include the editable vector sources. No licence, no attribution, no ongoing fee.
The cheap ones are typically templates resold many times, delivered as a single flat file, with no palette, no rules and no vector source. They cost more later, when the printer rejects the file or the mark turns out to be on three other businesses. This is designed for you, and it comes with everything the next designer or printer will ask for.
We will tell you if a direction looks too close to a mark we recognise, and we build in enough distinctiveness to be sensible. A formal search and registration is a trademark lawyer’s job and worth doing before you print anything.
Yes — that is a redesign or, for a light touch, a quoted update of the colours, fonts and logo across your existing site.
