A slow site loses visitors before they see it, costs more per click in Google Ads, and ranks worse. Most small-business sites are slow for boring, fixable reasons. We find them, fix them, and show you the before-and-after numbers.
Almost every slow WordPress site we open has the same handful of problems. Photos uploaded straight from a phone at 4,000 pixels wide. Fourteen plugins doing the work of four. No caching. A theme loading a font library for the two icons it uses. None of it is exotic, and none of it needs a new site to fix.
We start by measuring, because otherwise nobody knows whether anything improved. Then we work through the causes in order of impact: images first, since they are usually most of the page weight, then caching, then the plugin and script load.
At the end you get the same measurement again, on the same tool, so the improvement is a number rather than a feeling.

Scope
Everything below is part of the project. Nothing is added to your invoice without a written quote you have approved first.
Not included: Moving to faster hosting, which we will recommend if the server itself is the bottleneck and quote separately (see website migration). Redesigning pages. Fixing a theme so badly built that only a rebuild would help — we will tell you if that is the case before charging you.
How it works
Baseline scores and load times recorded on desktop and mobile, with a screenshot of each, so the starting point is documented.
Full files-and-database backup before any change. Speed work touches a lot of the site at once; the backup is what makes it safe.
The two changes that usually move the numbers most. Done first so you see early improvement.
The slower, more careful work: what each plugin costs, what can be removed, which scripts can wait until after the page is visible.
Same tools, same pages. You get before and after side by side, and a short list of habits that will keep it fast.
What we need from you
Typical timeline: 2–3 business days from access. Your written quote states the actual date for your project.
Pricing
Base scope: Sites up to 10 pages and 100 images: before-and-after measurement, image compression, caching, plugin and script audit, database cleanup, written report.
Anything beyond the base scope is priced from the add-on list, and your written quote shows the line items and one total. That total is what is charged — nothing more. No payment is taken on this website: once you approve the quote, a secure Stripe payment link is sent by email. US clients are billed in USD; Canadian clients in CAD or USD by agreement, plus applicable GST/HST.
Questions
We do not promise a score, because the tools measure things we cannot control such as your host’s server response and third-party scripts you may need to keep. What we commit to is measuring honestly and fixing everything fixable. Most sites we work on improve substantially; the report will show you exactly how much yours did.
Speed work can, which is why there is a full backup first and 30 days of correction after. The most common casualty is a plugin that was silently doing something nobody knew about. We test every page and form after the work, but tell us immediately if you spot something.
It will drift if new full-size photos keep being uploaded and new plugins keep being added. The report ends with the three habits that keep it fast. If you would rather not think about it, a care plan includes ongoing optimization.
Usually not. If the server response time itself is slow — which we measure — we will say so and quote a migration separately. It is never bundled in without your say-so.
