Website redesign: a new site on the domain you already own.

Your site was fine in 2019. Now it is slow on phones, the design looks its age, and you avoid sending people to it. A redesign replaces the layout and the presentation without throwing away the address, the content that earns, or the search history you have built up.

A redesign is not a rebuild from nothing. You already have a domain with age, pages Google knows about, and copy that took you months to write. Throwing that away is how businesses lose the traffic they spent years earning. We keep what works and replace what does not.

The work happens on a staging copy while your current site stays live and untouched. You review the new version at a private address, we make changes, and only when you approve does it replace the old one — usually in under an hour, with every old URL redirected so nothing that used to work stops working.

What you get is a site that looks like it was built this year, loads properly on a phone, and can be edited by you afterwards.

The address stays. The rankings stay. The 2019 design goes.
BEFORE AFTER

Same domain, same content that earns — new layout, new speed

Scope

What’s included in the price.

Everything below is part of the project. Nothing is added to your invoice without a written quote you have approved first.

  • Full audit of the current site: what ranks, what converts, what is broken
  • A new layout designed around your content, not a theme with the demo text swapped
  • Every page laid out again at phone width, then checked on a real handset
  • Content migrated: text, images, blog posts and any page that earns traffic
  • Image compression and a lighter plugin set, so the new site is faster than the old one
  • Contact forms rebuilt and tested with a live submission
  • 301 redirects for every URL that changes, so old links and rankings carry across
  • Page titles, meta descriptions and heading structure rewritten where they were missing
  • SSL confirmed and HTTP redirected, if it was not already
  • Built on a staging copy; your live site is untouched until you approve
  • Launch handled by us, including cache clearing and a post-launch check of every page
  • Three revision rounds, a handover recording, and 30 days of defect correction

Not included: New copywriting beyond formatting what you already have (see website copywriting). A new logo or brand identity. Rebuilding a store with more than 30 products, which is quoted separately. Domain and hosting fees, paid by you directly.

How it works

Step by step.

Audit and brief

We go through the current site with you: which pages bring in enquiries, which look dated, what has quietly broken. That conversation, plus a short questionnaire, becomes the brief.

Backup and staging

A full backup of files and database is taken before anything starts. The new site is built at a private staging address while your current one carries on as normal.

Design and build

Layout, mobile versions, forms, images and content migration. You see progress at the staging address rather than waiting for a big reveal at the end.

Review and revisions

Three rounds of consolidated changes. You send a list, we apply it within a business day, you look again.

Launch and redirects

The new site replaces the old one. Every changed URL gets a redirect. We check every page, form and link on the live site the same day.

What we need from you

Four things, and we can start.

Access
WordPress admin login and, ideally, hosting access so we can create the staging copy
Content decisions
Which pages stay, which go, and anything new you want added
Photos and logo
Your current logo in a usable format; new photos if you have them, or we use licensed stock
Feedback
One person who can approve the design and consolidate the team’s comments

Typical timeline: 5–10 business days from approved brief and content. Your written quote states the actual date for your project.

Pricing

Defined scope, defined price.

From $600
USD · one-time · for the base scope below

Base scope: Up to 6 pages redesigned and migrated on your existing domain, mobile layouts, forms, redirects, launch, three revision rounds, 30 days of defect correction.

Anything beyond the base scope is priced from the add-on list, and your written quote shows the line items and one total. That total is what is charged — nothing more. No payment is taken on this website: once you approve the quote, a secure Stripe payment link is sent by email. US clients are billed in USD; Canadian clients in CAD or USD by agreement, plus applicable GST/HST.

Add-ons, priced up front

Each additional page$60
Blog archive migration, up to 50 posts$150
Online store, up to 30 products$500
New logo applied across the site$90
ExampleA 10-page site with a blog: $600 + 4 × $60 + $150 = $990.

Questions

Things people ask before booking this.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not if the redesign is done properly, which is the whole point of the redirect work. Every page Google currently knows about either keeps its address or gets a 301 redirect to the new one. Rankings usually settle within a couple of weeks. What does hurt rankings is deleting pages that earn traffic because they were inconvenient to rebuild — so we do not do that.

Can I keep my current hosting?

Almost always, yes. If the hosting is the reason the site is slow, we will say so and recommend a move, but that is a separate decision and never a condition of the redesign.

What if I want changes after launch?

Small text and image tweaks during the 30-day support window are covered. Anything structural — new pages, new sections — gets a written quote first. Nothing goes on an invoice you have not approved.

Will my site be down during the switch?

No. The new site is built alongside the old one, and switching takes minutes. Visitors during that window simply see the new version load.
