How DigitalDots Technologies collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information — written to comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
This policy explains how DigitalDots Technologies handles personal information collected through digitaldotstechnologies.dev and in the course of providing our services. We are the organisation accountable for that information under PIPEDA. Our privacy contact is reachable at support@digitaldotstechnologies.dev or by post at 268 Charlton Avenue, Thornhill, Ontario L4J 6H1, Canada.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not send us health information, government identification numbers, or financial account details by email.
We use personal information only for the purposes it was collected for:
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
We do not collect or store payment card details. All card payments are processed by Stripe on a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Your card number, expiry date and security code are transmitted directly to Stripe and are never visible to us. We receive only confirmation of payment, the last four digits of the card, the amount and the transaction reference, which we retain for accounting purposes. Stripe’s processing of your data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent. Submitting our contact form, emailing us, or purchasing a service constitutes consent for the purposes described in this policy. Where we rely on implied consent, the purpose will be obvious from the context. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice — note that withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service you have purchased.
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to help us operate, and only to the extent necessary:
| Provider | Purpose | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Name, email, billing address, card data (entered directly with them) |
| Email and hosting providers | Website hosting, email delivery | Correspondence, form submissions, server logs |
| Google (Search Console, Ads) | Search performance monitoring and, where a client engages us for it, advertising campaign management | Aggregated search and campaign data. No analytics cookies are set on this website. |
| Accounting and bookkeeping | Tax and financial records | Invoice and payment records |
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or a lawful request from a public authority, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business is ever sold or reorganised, client information may transfer as part of that transaction, and you would be notified.
Some of our service providers, including Stripe and Google, store and process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. While information is in another jurisdiction it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under its laws. We use providers that maintain recognised data protection standards and contractual safeguards.
We use SSL/TLS encryption on this website, encrypted password management for credentials, access controls limiting who can view client data, reputable hosting with regular security updates, and multi-factor authentication on our own accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your information in a way that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as PIPEDA requires.
This website uses cookies for essential functionality only; we do not currently run analytics. What each cookie does, how long it lasts and how to disable it is set out in our cookie policy.
Under PIPEDA you have the right to:
Email support@digitaldotstechnologies.dev with your request. We respond within 30 days at no charge, and may ask you to verify your identity first.
Our services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy; the current version and its effective date are always shown on this page, and material changes affecting existing clients are notified by email. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first — and if we cannot resolve it, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
